Competition Reminders:

1-Arrival and Warm-Up:

Dancers should be ready at the school 2 hours before their scheduled performance time, or at doors open. Please see below for more details per dance/company.

Please make sure to be on time! 

2-Awards

Award Ceremonies are on the schedule and will be held onstage.  Dancers must wear WBDC attire to the competition and onstage when accepting awards.  

Come early, stay late, and cheer on WBDC dancers!

3-Photos & Video

Taking photos and video at the competition is not permitted. Photos and Videos can be purchased at the competition.  

4-Livestream

The entire competition and awards will be livestreamed.  Please see the competition’s webpage.

5- Bring backup tights, shoes, and triple check that you have all your costume pieces!

6- We love friends and family members coming to cheer on dancers!  Please make sure that they do not come into the dressing room/warm-up areas.  The dressing room/warm-up areas are for dancers and the adult family member assisting with costume changes.

7-Make sure to not have nail polish on, tattoos showing, extra piercings in, colored hair showing, etc.

Thursday 5/1:

Doors Open 5:30pm

All Teen solos and Teen Duet/Trios need to be there at doors open or two hours ahead of time.

WBDC staff will be available beginning at 5:45pm for warm-up. Dancers that perform later will need to warm-up on their own and be sure to check in with WBDC staff upon arrival at the facility.

Friday 5/2:

Doors Open 7:15am

All Petite and Junior Company soloists need to be there at doors open or two hours ahead of time. Dancers should warm-up on their own and meet a staff member at a time listed below. Right now we are listing dressing room as meeting location, but please check in with staff/WBDC dancers upon arrival incase a better warm-up/meeting place has been selected.

Quinn and Jocelyn should meet Jenny at 8:30am in the dressing room.

Charlee, Karleigh, Fionna and Kylie should meet Aaliyah at 9:00am in the dressing room.

Addie J, Reese, Dakota and Rose should meet Jenny after Jocelyn’s solo #206 “Light That Never Fails” in the dressing room.

Olivia, Olive, Millie, Tala, Brooklyn and Lucy Z should meet Aaliyah after Kylie’s solo #216 “Faith” in the dressing room.

Aria, Ruthie, Sophie, Noelle and Eleanor will meet Aaliyah and Katie at 11:30am in the dressing room.

Gisele, Addie W, Veda and Ellarie will meet Jenny at 12:00pm in the dressing room.

Mini and Junior Title Improv before awards-Addie J, Dakota, Lucy Z, Addie W and Ellarie

Awards at 1:30pm

Elite Company should arrive two hours ahead of time and meet Lindsay in the dressing room in full costume, hair and make-up at 1:15pm.

“On The Surface”, “Just Around The Corner” and “Brand New” should arrive two hours ahead of time and meet Jenny/Katie in the dressing room after Elite Company Lyrical performs “Fearless”.

Awards at 4:45pm

Saturday 5/3:

Doors Open 7:15am

Right now we are listing dressing room as meeting location, but please check in with staff/WBDC dancers upon arrival incase a better warm-up/meeting place has been selected.

Hip Hop Company 1 should arrive 100% dressed, hair and make-up complete to meet Lindsay at 7:15am. Sofia will go backstage with Hip Hop Company 1.

“Bathing Beauties” should arrive 100% dressed, hair and make-up complete to meet Katie at 7:15am. Sofia will go backstage with “Bathing Beauties”.

“Friend Like Me” should arrive 100% dressed, hair and make-up complete to meet Layla at 8:30am.

“We’re The Party” and “Inside The Tornado” should arrive 100% dressed, hair and make-up complete to meet Jenny at 8:30am.

“Be You” should arrive 100% dressed, hair and make-up complete to meet Katie/Riley after #447 “Inside The Tornado” performs.

Awards are at 12:00pm

Hip Hop Company 3 should meet Katie/Layla at 11:00am. Immediately after awards all Hip Hop Company 3 dancers need to meet Layla/Riley in the dressing room. Any dancers in the 12:00pm awards need to be on stage in full Hip Hop Costumes, including shoes.

Mini Company should meet Gretchen/Ellie/Sofia/Carly/Leia at 12:00pm. After their tap dance, parents should meet them in the dressing room. Ellie/Sofia/Carly/Leia will meet dancers in full jazz costume after #498 Snow in the dressing room.

Hip Hop Company 4 should meet Layla after the 12:00pm awards.

Junior Company should meet Aaliyah/Sehana/Gretta after #483 “Rich Girl Problems”.

Intermediate Company should meet Lindsay/Lucie B/Izzy at 1:00pm. After their tap dance, parents should meet them in the dressing room. Lindsay/Lucie B/Izzy will meet dancers in full jazz costume after #508 Party In The USA in the dressing room.

PreTeen Company should meet Hannah after #485 “321Go” in the dressing room. All PreTeen dancers must warm-up “Snow” independently prior to this meeting time. After PreTeen Contemporary, dancers need to meet Hannah after #519 “Let It Be” to warm-up tap and jazz.

Petite Company should meet Gretchen/Riley/Kaitlyn at 2:00pm. Dancers need to be in full tap costume, but in freeforms.

Ellarie, Addie W, Veda should meet Jenny after Junior Lyrical. Sofia will go backstage with dancers.

Addie J, Carly, Leia, Lucy, Olive, Rose, Dakota and Lidi should meet Jenny/Katie at 5:30pm

Mini/Junior Leap Competition-Any dancer 11 and under can compete in the Leap Competition. Dancers register at the Merchandise Boutique $20 before the event, dress in regular dance clothes and are brought on stage to perform their best LEAP! This is a low stress, lots of fun experience of all ages and levels. We love that WBDC always has a great turn out of dancers that participate and it is one of our favorite events of the season!

Awards 7:15pm

Sunday 5/4:

Doors Open 7:15am

Production should arrive 100% dressed, hair and make-up complete to meet Katie/Jenny at 7:15am.

All Senior Small Groups, Senior Company and Hip Hop Company 5 dances will warm-up at 7:15am.

Teen Company should meet 10:30am to warm-up Teen Company dances. This should be complete by 11:00am so dancers can meet Hip Hop Company 5 to go backstage as needed.

Abby, Sienna, Ella P, Ella D, Maiken and Sofia should meet Jenny/Katie after “Cry Me A River”.

Teen/Senior Leap Competition-Any dancer 12 and over can compete in the Leap Competition. Dancers register at the Merchandise Boutique $20 before the event, dress in regular dance clothes and are brought on stage to perform their best LEAP! This is a low stress, lots of fun experience of all ages and levels. We love that WBDC always has a great turn out of dancers that participate and it is one of our favorite events of the season!
