Competition Weekends 2026
**Please remember that we don’t get exact performance information from the competitions until a week before the individual events.
Energy Optional Competition February 2/27-3/1 at Chanhassen High School

Competition Reminders:
Arrival/Warm-up: Dancers should be ready at the event 2 hours before their scheduled performance time, or at doors open. Please see below for more specific details for meeting times/warm-up information. PLEASE BE ON TIME!
Awards: All Award Ceremonies are on the schedule and will be held onstage. DANCERS MUST BE IN WBDC ATTIRE on stage at awards and to accept an award.
We love when dancers and their families come early, stay late and cheer on all WBDC dancers! Everyone needs an audience!
Photos/Videos: Taking photos and videos at the competition is not permitted and can cause disqualification. Photos and Videos can be purchased at the competition.
Livestream: Most (but not all) competitions have livestream. Please see each competition’s webpage for more information.
Backup Tights/Shoes/Costume Parts: All dancer are responsible for all costumes and extras to be stage ready at all events.
Friends/Family: We love friends and family members coming to cheer on dancers! Please make sure that they do not come into the dressing room/warm-up areas. The dressing room/warm-up areas are for dancers and the adult family member assisting with costume changes. Please remember that female dancers entering a female dressing room may only have female adult family members with them and vice versa for male dressing rooms. Alternative options are available at events, but please be mindful of specific designated spaces.
Company Look Guidelines: Dancers can not have colored nail polish or embellishments on fingernails, in the case of dancing barefoot there can not be colored or embellished toenails, tattoos showing (real or temporary), real tattoos must be covered with professional level make-up and not bandages, extra piercings in ears or anywhere else, or any non traditional colored hair showing, etc. There are no exceptions.
Friday 2/27:
All Junior Age Duet Dancers will meet their teacher/choreographer at doors open 3:30pm or two hours before their performance time for warm-up. Sofia will be backstage with dancers.
Saturday 2/28:
All Junior Age Solo Dancers will meet their teacher/choreographer at doors open 7:30am or two hours before their performance time for warm-up. Sofia will be backstage with dancers.
All Petite Age Solo/Duet Dancers need to be at the facility two hours ahead of time. They should meet Gretchen and Carolyn in the cafeteria immediately following Addie J’s Open Solo “Perfect Sunset” #365. Izzy will be backstage with dancers.
“Ways To Be Wicked” need to meet Jenny in the cafeteria immediately following Vivian’s Jazz Solo “Let’s Get Loud” #415.
All Senior Small Groups and Duet/Trios need to be there two hours ahead of time and check-in with Jenny.
All Senior Solos need to be there two hours ahead of time and check-in with Jenny/Katie.
Sunday 3/1:
“Hard Knock Life” and “Haze” need to meet Katie/Abby/Ellie/Jenny at doors open.
11 and Under Improv 10:08am
“Little Girls” needs to meet Madison immediately following “Haze” for warm-up. They will meet in full costume again immediately following the 10:33am.
Millie/Reese should warm-up duet with Paige before awards and then meet again after “Little Girls” in duet costumes.
Izzy/Carly/Dakota should meet Jenny immediately following the 10:33am awards.
Improv 12 and Over 2:16pm.
All Teen Age Solo Dancers need to be there two hours ahead of time and touch base with their teacher/choreographer.
