Elite Company 2023-24

Elite Company is for dancers ages 10 and up. It is a beginner/intermediate, one day a week time commitment and competes two or three dances in one competition with the option of a second competition. This is a non-audition company. Any dancer is welcome that has at least one year of dance experience, WBDC or other program.

Pricing:
$99/month September-May for tuition
Dancer Package payments which includes costumes, competition entry fees, extra rehearsal fees, all miscellaneous fees, recital t-shirt (worn in finale) and a recital video is due on the 15th of the month Sept-March. Elite Company Dancer Package is $120 for the 2023-24 season.
Elite Company has an option of adding Elite Lyrical/Contemporary. Tuesday 8:30-9:00pm Added monthly tuition and Elite Lyrical Dancer Package is $20/$65 for the 2023-24 season.
Elite Company also gets discounted pricing for Acro and Turns/Leaps Classes, Hip Hop Company 1 and Ballet Technique Classes. Please see company invitation for more information/pricing.

Competitions:
Elite Company will compete at 1 regional competition with an option of an additional regional and nationals. We will not know the exact schedule until the week before the competitions.
Leap Competition May 3rd-5th and location is Hopkins High School. Price is included in Dancer Package.
Dancers may elect to compete at the additional regional competition or additional regional AND national competition.
Celebration Talent Competition Aprils 5th-7th at the DECC in Duluth, MN. $150 (includes tap/jazz dances) $75 (lyrical)
Celebration Nationals Competition June 25th-30th at the DECC in Duluth, MN. $210 (includes tap/jazz dances) $110 (lyrical)
Sign-Up deadline for one or both optional events is 11/18/23.
Elite Company Dress Code:
Leotard (any style/color), bra tops, dance shorts, dance leggings, tights (any color) and hair tied back off of neck and pinned off of face. Capezio Caramel Free Form Shoes and Dancing Fair Tan Split Sole Jazz Taps.

Week before Dress Rehearsals, Performance/Competitions/Mandatory Events:
The week before dress rehearsal/performance/competition and any mandatory scheduled rehearsals, are just that, mandatory. Failure to attend rehearsal or class be it for cleaning, choreography, or technique, may result in removal from part or whole of choreography or performance. Not all situations are the same and will be handled on an individual basis. There will be no refunds for competition entries.
Any company dancers, Level 1 or 2, will have an adjusted schedule the weeks leading up to dress rehearsal and/or competition weekends. We often have to change times/days to accommodate rehearsal schedules for those that have their weekly classes during the various events. Full updated schedules will be available in DSP calendars in January 2024. Dancers will be required to be at all rehearsals.
Music/Rehearsal Videos:
We will be using WBDC/DSP account for all Music and Rehearsal Videos.
Music will be uploaded after the first night of class.
Rehearsal Videos will be uploaded for classes as it makes sense to create them.
WBDC Picture Week at WBDC
We will be doing a picture week/weekend in April. More information and exact dates/times will be available early 2024.
WBDC Recital Weekend
May 31st-June 2nd is WBDC’s recital weekend at Central Middle School. Dress Rehearsal, Show Assignments, Finale, Ticket Information and all other details will be available early 2024.
Marketfest and Manitou Days Parade:
These two events, plus a Marketfest rehearsal will be on the calendar for June 2024. Finalized dates will be available early 2024. They are very important to WBDC and the community. Company Dancers need to attend and participate in both events. We expect 100% attendance.
