WBDC has class offering for all ages. 

June/July/August 4 Week Sessions, NEW THIS YEAR-Summer Camps, Workshop Classes, 2 Acro Extravaganzas, Company Auditions, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, National’s Improv Classes, Power Pack, Darby’s Dancers and even MORE exciting choices!

4 Week Sessions

WBDC will be running 3 Sessions of 4 Week Recreational classes. Session 1 is in June, Session 2 is in July and Session 3 is in August. Dancers are welcome to take one, two or all three sessions.

Tiny Steps Summer Dance Party

Looking for a great summer activity for your little dancer? Check out Tiny Steps Summer Dance Party for ages 18 months to 3 years! A basic introductory class working with basic creative movement class elements. Classes will promote socialization, coordination, listening skills, and creativity. They will be encouraged to express themselves and their ideas through movement.

Ages 18months-3 years 

Tuesday 5:30-6:00pm $50/session

Ballet Summer Dance Party

Encourage your little ballet dancer to learn the basics of ballet in this royal atmosphere! Young dancers will learn the basic positions, techniques, and vocabulary associated with the art of ballet at the beginner level in this summer dance party. Dancers need leather ballet shoes and are encouraged to wear tutus, tiaras, and crowns.

Ages 3-6 years

Summer Dance Party 1

This is a great introductory class to ballet, jazz, and tap!   The basics of vocabulary, movements, and the feel of the different genres of dance will be introduced in a fun dance party environment.  

Ages 3-4 years

Tuesday 6:00-6:45pm $60/session

Session 1: June 11th-July 2nd

Session 2: July 9th-July 30th

Session 3: August 6th-August 27th

Summer Dance Party 2

This is a great introductory class to ballet, jazz, and tap!   The basics of vocabulary, movements, and the feel of the different genres of dance will be introduced in a fun dance party environment.  This is a similar class to Dance Party 1, but a bit quicker pace meant for a dancer just a little bit older!

Ages 5-6

This is a great class filled with ballet, jazz, and tap!

Hip Hop Summer Dance Party 1

Hip Hop classes are popular at all ages, but especially for younger dancers! This is an introductory class, for ages 5-6, to the dance style of Hip Hop with a combination of street dance, isolations, floor work, and rhythm. Musical Selections focus on age appropriate ideas and positive music!  Please wear clean tennis shoes! Come join our Hip Hop Party 1!

Acro Summer Dance Parties

Introductory class for all things ACRO! Classes will be beginner in nature for ages 3-4 and 5-6. Ages 7-12 class will be modified to fit participants based on individual skill levels.

NEW THIS YEAR-Dance Summer Camps!

All camps are for ages 3-12, are based around popular themes, are $35 per day and will run from 9:00am-12:00pm. There is something for everyone in these fun filled one day camps which will be filled with dance, crafts, snacks and creative activities! Register for just one or come to all of them!

Acro Extravaganza

This is always one of WBDC’s most popular summer programs. For the 2024 Summer season there are 2 Acro Extravaganzas, June 17th-June 19th and August 13th-August 15th! Dancers are welcome to take one or both.

It is time for all things acro! Lots of flexibility and strength exercises combined with working on everyone’s favorite acro skills. The 3 night camp will give dancers time to really work on a skill(s) that they have been trying to accomplish. All levels of dancers welcome. Contact WBDC if you are unsure which level/age group to attend.

Acro A Beginner Ages 5-18 5:00-5:45pm $47/session (New to WBDC or current WBDC students in Acro 1)

Acro B Intermediate Ages 6-18 5:45-7:15pm $78/session (Current WBDC students in Acro 2)

Acro C Advanced Ages 6-18 7:15-8:30pm $78/session (Current WBDC students in Acro 3 and 4)

Session 1: June 17th-June 19th

Session 2: August 13th-August 15th

Stretch/Trick Power Pack-4 Week Session

Stretching/Conditioning and Turn/Leap “Trick” Technique are the focus of this 4 Week Power Pack Session. We recommend these classes for any dancer, but it is strongly recommended for all Level 1 and Level 2 Company dancers.

Power Pack Group A: Monday 5:00-6:00pm August 5th-August 26th Ages 5-12 or current Mini, Intermediate & Petite Company dancers 4 classes/$70

Power Pack Group B: Monday 6:00-7:30pm August 5th-August 26th Ages 9-18 or current Elite & Junior Company dancers 4 classes/$100

Power Pack Group C: Monday 5:00-6:30pm August 5th-August 26th Ages 9-18 or current Teen & Senior Company dancers 4 classes/$100

Power Pack A is a beginner/intermediate level class, Power Pack B is an intermediate/advanced class and Power Pack C is an advanced only level class.

Workshop Classes

All levels of dancers welcome.  Come try out different genres of dance. 

Ages 5-8 5:00-6:00pm $12/class Ages 9-12 6:00-7:30pm $17/class. Ages 13-18 7:30-9:00pm $17/class

Dancers auditioning for Level 2 Company 2024-25 get 4 Workshop Classes (one must be ballet) in the Company Audition Pricing. Please register for your class choices and the tuition charges will be adjusted on your account. Dancers are welcome (and encouraged) to take more than 4 and will be charged individually.

Cancellation Policy: Due to the popularity of these classes, they will close at capacity. Please register early to ensure the date(s) and genres that your dancer(s) prefer! These classes can be dropped up to 7 days prior to the class. If it is within 7 days of the class, class enrollment can not be canceled. Drop-in registration is welcome if space is available.

Level 1 Company - MinI, Intermediate, Elite and Hip Hop

Mini (age 4-6), Intermediate Company (age 7-9), Elite Company (age 10 and up) and Hip Hop Company (age 7 and up) are low commitment competitive companies that allow dancers and families a chance to experience what competitive dance is all about!

There is no audition for Level 1 Companies, but all dancers must have at least 1 year of dance experience-WBDC or other other program.

WBDC does recommend Mini, Intermediate, Elite or Hip Hop Company dancers to participate in a WBDC Summer Dance Class. Check out our Workshop Classes, 4 Week Sessions and/or Acro Extravaganza Programs.

8/13/24: Email will be sent to those dancers registered in a Level 1 Company with detailed information regarding the 2024/25 season. Email will be delivered/sent by 5:00pm.

Level 2 COmpany Audition Program

Dancers of all ages will be auditioned in ballet, modern, tap, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, hip hop, musical theater and acro over the course of the program. The pricing below includes all class dates plus the required 4 workshop classes. Dancers can opt to add additional workshop classes during online registration. Dancers are also encouraged to register for any or all Acro Extravaganzas and Stretch/Trick Power Pack Summer Classes.

If you are a current student and not sure which audition group to attend or you are new to WBDC, please contact us to assist you in choosing the right group for your dancer.

All groups will be observed by faculty through the entire audition program and dancers will audition individually during various times August 7th-9th. List of specific skills/technique/audition guidelines will be available here late spring 2024. **Watch for a helpful rehearsal video late May 2024 (will be uploaded to dancer’s DSP/WBDC accounts who are registered for Audition Intensive) for additional tips, hints and a guide to all skills/technique.

Company invitations, dancer package information, Company Kickoff Camp Schedule, and the 2024/25 season schedule will be emailed to families on 8/13 by 5:00pm. Company Registration will be online 8/14-8/16. Company Kickoff will be in the evening 8/21-8/22.

Dancers interested in doing additional pieces for the 2024-25 season, meaning solos, duets, trios, and extra groups should email info@whitebeardancecenter.com by May 11th, 2024 if you are currently a WBDC dancer or as soon as your online registration is complete if you are new to WBDC.

Dancers must be in good fitting dance clothes (pink tights and black leotard are NOT required), hair cleanly pulled away from face, ballet shoes, taps shoes, freeforms, clean tennis shoes, bare feet, lunch/snacks, and a water bottle are needed.

All current WBDC dancers, deadline to sign up for 2024-25 Level 2 Company Audition program is May 11th, 2024.

Pre-Pointe 2024/Pointe 1,2 & 3 2024

Current 2023/24 Company dancers eligible for pre-pointe will be invited with their Summer Class recommendations, which will be in your DSP’s notes section by the end of March 2023. If you are new to WBDC, don’t receive a recommendation or have general questions, please email Jenny.

Current 2023/24 Pointe 1, Pointe 2 and Pointe 3 dancers are encouraged to continue pointe through the summer if they wish to continue this program in 2024/2025 season.

Pre-Pointe 7 Class Summer Program $65

7/15, 7/16, 7/17, 7/18, 7/19, 8/7 and 8/8 4:00-4:30pm

**Dancers need to be in bare feet for this summer class. Dancers will be evaluated over the summer pre-pointe class and those invited to move on to Pointe 1 for the 2024-25 season will have this information, including how to & where to purchase pointe shoes and sewing instructions in their invitation email on 8/13 by 5:00pm. Dancers will receive practice guide and exact evaluation information the first class of pre-pointe.

Pointe 1, 2 & 3 11 Class Summer Program $100

**Dancers need to have shoes on and warmed up at the start of class time.

Improv Classes for Nationals 2024

Any current 2023-24 dancers, ages 8 and up, that may want to consider entering the Nationals Improv Competition should participate in these Improv classes. More information about event details will be posted once we know more details. Please email Jenny with any questions regarding this event at Nationals.
