Production 2024
Production 2024 “On The Catwalk”
This is a working title, meaning it may change, but right now it makes us laugh! (For those that don’t know, WBDC’s 2023 Production was titled “Cats”.)
Anyway…..this season’s production is all about models and fashion! There is so much incredible music and style that connects with this theme. All WBDC staff are very inspired to create a production with these ideas. Whether we keep “On The Catwalk” or not, WBDC’s 2024 Production will DEFINITELY need a runway to dance on!
As did, “Cats”, “Hero”, “Queen”, “Under The WBDCea” and all the previous productions, it will have a fantastic music mix, special costumes, lots of dance styles in the choreography and a lot of creativity!
Company dancers (Sorry Mini Company, just a bit too young!) are welcome to sign-up. See your invitation email for pricing details. Rehearsals will be on Saturdays from 11:15am-12:15pm. Production will compete at all 4 regionals, nationals and will perform in most recitals. January 21, 2024 is the mandatory production rehearsal and will be located at Lakeaires Elementary School in White Bear Lake.
2023-24 season begins the week of 9/10!
January 21st is the mandatory production rehearsal at Lakeaires Elementary. Dancers should arrive at 12:30pm. Rehearsal will end at 6:30pm with an informal family showing. Families will not be able to enter the performance area until 6:15pm. Dancers need to be in good fitting dance clothes, hair tied back, freeforms (and other types of shoes if in sections of different genres of dance), a water bottle (or 2) and a snack. Dancers will all break at different times.
Production Dress Code:
Leotard (any style/color), bra tops, dance shorts, dance leggings, tights (any color) and hair tied back off of neck and pinned off of face. Barefoot and Capezio Caramel or Black Freeforms.
Competitions:
Junior Company will compete at 4 regionals and 1 Nationals. We will not know the exact schedule until the week before the competitions.
Inferno Dance Competition March 22nd-24th at Tentatively Shakopee High School PAC.
Celebration Talent Competition Aprils 5th-7th at the DECC in Duluth, MN.
Leap Competition May 3rd-5th and location is Hopkins High School.
Bravo Dance & Talent Competition May 17th-19th at Shakopee High School PAC.
Celebration Nationals Competition June 25th-30th at the DECC in Duluth, MN.
